Dictatorialism
Seizing power...one of the ultimate goals since the beginning of nation-like existence, from the tribes to the governments. Power...it gives the individual a feeling that he is on top of everything. I guess it might make the person who has the maximum power in a certain field that he can be near to God himself. This specific feeling was inside most of the old Kings who had all the power in their Kingdoms.
While this kind of Power-obsessed people are on the top of government of whatever type, of course it will have some effect on the society it is in. Every action has a reaction as most of us know. It is a pain in the ass really when you find some official like this in the government, specially our government. This kind of power always leads to hatred, oppression and finally...corruption. Ultimate power always lead to corruption due to absence of injustice.
Everyone of us suffered the intentional attempt to put numerous obstacles of any paper process. Go to Mr. this, stamp it at Mr. that, this huge closed circle. The perfect example of the complex Egyptian Bureaucracy resulting from the Ultimate power of the post-revolution era in Egypt.
What is more dangerous, when power is united with wealth. Now everything is in the hands of a very few people. The rest? Who cares. The optimal example of the pre-French revolution conditions. Most of the people are dying to feed the mouths at their semi-homes, others doing illegal activities just to live a respectable life. People spying on others for the corrupted security forces.
Never put all the eggs in one basket, never allow power to be in one hand, FIGHT!

That last line said it all..
ReplyDeleteAwareness is the key..
And as always i refer to myself when i read an impostant thought..
I wish i can always be aware and alert..but unfortunatly humans tend to forget and get into a halfsleep phase when all truths are as vague as fog..
Then there must be something we can stop forgetfulness as long as we can. It is still hard I know...
